Senior Quality Engineering Lead.

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineering Lead to support an international client on a 3-month interim engagement. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of quality improvements following an external review, and establish a robust testing framework and governance model to enhance quality across the organisation. 3-Month Interim Contract Remote Work International Client Australian Working Hours (AEST/AEDT) Must Have Proven experience in setting up test governance or a testing framework for an organisation (not just test execution) Experience in implementing a risk-based testing approach Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans Experience with MS Dynamics CE Experience coordinating SIT and UAT with business users and third-party vendors Experience defining test approaches for data migration and system integrations Experience in coaching teams and handing over a framework for others to run Australian Working Hours (AEST/AEDT) Key Responsibilities Set up a Quality Engineering (QE) governance model including roles, responsibilities, decision rights, quality gates and release readiness controls Define standard testing practices across planning, design, execution, defect management, risk management and reporting Make requirements more testable with clear acceptance criteria, traceability and alignment to business processes A Implement risk-based testing for critical business processes, integrations, data migration and user/member journeys Maximise the use of Azure DevOps for test planning, execution, defect tracking, reporting and quality dashboards Define standard test artefacts including test plans, test scripts, defect taxonomy, test completion reports and release readiness evidence o Improve SIT and UAT readiness with clear expectations for business stakeholders, vendors and project teams Recommend practical improvements to test environments and test data Develop a transition plan for the client or ongoing partner to continue the framework after the initial engagement Nice to Have Test environment and test data management Experience in member-based, insurance or not-for-profit organisations ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or similar certification What We're Looking For Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills Strong leadership and collaboration skills Practical, solution-oriented approach Ability to work independently in a remote environment
