Return to the original vacancy

Before applying, open the original posting to confirm that the role and instructions are current. Review the employer, location, requirements and any published salary details. Career Vettai identifies its sources and collection times so you can follow the information back.

An application link opens the employer or source site. Career Vettai cannot observe whether you finish a form there. Opening that link is not recorded as a completed application.

Choose evidence that fits the work

Select a few examples that relate to the role’s tasks. Describe the problem, what you did, the decisions you made and the result. Explain which work was yours and give enough context for a reader to understand its scale.

When a requirement is unfamiliar, distinguish what you have used from what you are learning. Your Compass profile can help organise that thinking, but it does not replace reading the vacancy.

Use manual stages as personal reminders

Your saved jobs can be marked Interested, Applied, Interview or Closed. You choose those stages manually. They are private browser records and are not verified by an employer or the original application site.

Add a note about a deadline, a question or a next step. Export your shortlist if you want a copy you can move to another browser. Existing notes are kept when duplicate records are imported.

  • Review the original source.
  • Choose relevant examples.
  • Follow the stated application instructions.
  • Update your own stage and next-step note.
