Put salary ranges into a common monthly frame

Preserve the range, currency and pay period before comparing approximate gross amounts.

Keep the original facts together

A salary figure needs a currency and pay period to be useful. Keep a published minimum and maximum as a range. If a vacancy does not publish salary information, Career Vettai does not invent an estimate for it. If the period or currency is unclear, check the original source before calculating a comparison.

Offer Lens lets you select a complete published range when one is available, or enter figures you supply yourself. Editing a published value turns it into your own input so it is not presented as unchanged employer information.

Make the assumptions visible

An annual amount divided by 12 gives an approximate gross monthly amount. For hourly pay, choose your assumed paid hours per week. Offer Lens calculates hourly pay × weekly hours × 52 ÷ 12. That assumption does not confirm the employer’s hours or paid weeks.

Reference currency observations are dated. Offer Lens shows effective dates for SGD and LKR against USD; those dates can differ. If a refresh fails, the cached observations remain visible with their actual dates.

Compare the wider offer separately

A gross currency conversion is not a take-home-pay calculation. Taxes, benefits, unpaid time, transfer spreads, purchasing power and living costs are outside this tool. A larger converted figure is therefore not a conclusion that one offer is better.

  • Confirm whether bonuses and other components are inside or outside the stated salary.
  • Keep currency and date beside any number you save.
  • Record questions about the offer in your own notes.
