Remote work and hiring eligibility are different facts
Read the stated hiring locations before treating a remote vacancy as open to your country.

Remote describes a working arrangement. A vacancy can be remote within one country, a set of countries or a region. It can also have time-zone or occasional office requirements. A company’s headquarters does not establish where it can hire.
Career Vettai groups remote vacancies by the hiring-location information supplied by a source. A worldwide label is used only when the source explicitly states worldwide availability. If the feed does not give enough information, the listing says “Check hiring locations”.
Look for the separate conditions
Open the original posting and look for eligible locations, working hours, employment arrangement and any office attendance. A listed country does not independently confirm sponsorship, work authorisation or that overseas applications will be accepted. Use the employer’s current requirements to decide what to clarify.
- Which countries are explicitly named?
- Does the role require a particular time-zone overlap?
- Is the arrangement employment, contracting or another stated form?
- What does the original source say about eligibility and application instructions?
Keep a question in your shortlist
If the location information is incomplete, save the role with a note describing the uncertainty. You can then check the employer’s official information or ask through its stated recruitment channel. Avoid converting a missing condition into an assumption.
The Remote page preserves the source’s location wording so you can compare the evidence yourself. Collection time means when the feed was fetched, rather than a fresh guarantee of eligibility.
